West of Gettysburg, a refuge turned into a trap. Hundreds of Confederate soldiers climbed down into a cut for an unfinished railroad and soon found Union troops firing on them from above. Some 200 Confederates surrendered. This watch was removed from a body of an unknown soldier who died there.
