White duck (linen or cotton) trousers with pockets (linen) let into side seams. A smaller pocket is at the top of the waist band (this pocket is also linen). Marked _W Fiske/ 3(?)/9 wY W/ June:_2 18-6/_9 Brace_ (rest illegible)" Waist band is lined with white and red striped linen. Five white bone (four thread-hole) buttons at the fly. Six of theses same buttons are located at appropriate points on the waist band for suspenders. Two more of these buttons are located on the inside of the waist band, one for the fly strap and one as an extra. A waist width adjuster strap and buckle are located at the back of the pants just below the waist band. The buckle is brass and marked "Patent 1855". The legs are hemmed at their ends. Hand and machine sewn. Portion of the Fiske uniform.
