This formal portrait of William H. Buckler (1867-1953), Eliza "Didy" Ridgely White Buckler’s (1828-1894) youngest child, has always been referred to by the child’s family nickname, "Little Willie." His father was Didy’s second husband, Dr. Thomas Hepburn Buckler, whom she married in 1866.
