Content Description: 

Carved wooden eagle for mounting on wall. Spread wings, head turned left. Right foot clasps arrows, left foot holds red, white and blue shield. Back surface weathered & stained; clearly sleaped of broad axe or edge & left unfinished, bottom edge worked with drawing(s). Current gold finish is bronze powder in oil(s) but evidence of earlier gold leaf shows on shoulders and tops of wings.
