James W. Loewen
James L. Loewen is a sociologist, professor, and author whose best-known work is Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong, published in 1995. Loewen taught race relations at the University of Vermont for 20 years before starting a visiting professorship teaching sociology at the Catholic University of America in 1997.
