U.S.S. Eagle Model-War Of 1812

Designed and hurriedly built by the Adam brothers in 1814 in Vergennes, Vermont, the 20-gun U.S.S. Eagle was completed in 20 days, in time to join Commodore Thomas MacDonough's fleet at the Battle of Plattsburgh Bay.

Congressional Gold Medals

These medals were awarded for the 'Signal Victory' on September 11, 1814 during the Battle of Plattsburgh. The medals honor American naval officers Thomas MacDonough, Alexander Macomb, Robert Henley, and Stephen Cassin.
