Ronald Collins

Ronald Collins was the Harold S. Shefelman Scholar at the University of Washington School of Law and a nationally recognized authority on the First Amendment.

Collins has authored or co-authored 14 books including Robotica: Speech Rights & Artificial Intelligence (2017, co-authored with David Skover) and Nuanced Absolutism: Floyd Abrams & the First Amendment. 

In 2002, the Los Angeles Times selected his book The Trials of Lenny Bruce (co-authored with David Skover) as one of the best of the year.

Collins is one of the founders and co-directors of The History Book Festival, which launched in Lewes, Delaware in 2017.
