Members of the 79th New York Volunteer Regiment, who suffered the highest casualties at Bull Run and endured a month of back breaking labor to build the defenses around Washington, mutiny after their requests for leave are denied. The ringleaders are later sent to prison in the Dry Tortugas, Florida.
