The Jason Russell House currently serves as the headquarters of the Arlington Historical Society. Some of the most deadly fighting of the day occurred in the grounds around the house, which was a focal point in the town formerly called Menotomy. British troops bayoneted Jason Russell on his doorstep, and at least 21 Colonial fighters died here.
