Woodlawn Manor Museum

Woodlawn Manor Museum

The Woodlawn Manor sits on several acres of land that include a unique stone barn and four original outbuildings and connects to the Underground Railroad Experience Trail.

Woodlawn Manor Living History Museum in Montgomery County, Maryland offers a variety of educational programs keyed to social studies curriculum and environmental studies for students and groups of all ages...especially elementary grade levels.  The programs are a resource in experiential environmental education and are presented both inside the historic manor and outside on the grounds and miles of woodland trails.  These venues allow students to participate in authentic learning experiences at WMM and in the great outdoors. Local lore suggests that the Woodlawn Stone Barn c. 1832 was a stop on The Underground Railroad!  Teas and Tours or Traces of the Underground Railroad are also presented to groups by reservation in the elegant and graceful manor house tea parlors on weekends and some Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
